Until my last year of Highschool, the year of my finals, the year before going to the university, the year i gave it all i got i have never really notice that the way to start your day has a huge impact on the rest of your day.
Sure i was making my breakfast etc but i had really no habit waking up and starting my day.So when my call to action started,or betteryet call to studying,i made a plan every morning.I was living with my parents so i woke up earlier then them at around 5:30-6 a.m.(Their jobs don't demand waking up earlier then 7 a.m)Then i went to the bathroom, you know, brushed my teeth, wash my face and then,
Made some coffee while gazing into the night(poetic much?) and then sitting on my desk to study at approximately 6:10 a.m.
I made sure i study for a good hour and then i made my breakfast, bring it with me on my desk and study while eating. Then at 7:45 i would get dressed and at around 7:55 i would be out the door and off to school. To be honest i was always a little late at school, thank god my teachers seem to understand the fact that i had woken up earlier than them to study like a madman.
So this little story telling is to bring to you an example of morning rituals that i did on 2013-2014 probably my most successfull year yet.All these things that i did, these little habits helped me and fueled me with energy for the rest of the day which was for sure a very full day as a student.Of course i worked out and ate a very calorie dense diet and walked a lot.
The reason i write this blogpost today is because a lot of people, even people with 9-5 jobs don't have a structure in their morning ''routine'' and that extends to not having the best day they can.We learned to rely solely on caffeine with some people drinking atleast 3 coffees a day.
My mornings now are pretty much structured(I'm a Uni-student so the time i go to bed and getting up is not always the same because of classes, going out etc)
But i have  the same guidelines to create a good morning and when i seem to have strange day i always look at my morning.Of course nothing is final but there are some things i always do.
So..
Wake up,take my thyroid medication, stretch,go to the bathroom, empty the tank, wash my face, brush my teeth, open the shades, make my bed, change to house clothes, fold my pjs, start making breakfast and then depending on the day either dress or do something else.
That's to give you again an example of things i do every day.I would like to say i do some bioenergetic stretching but i would be lying.I will incoporate it soon.
So to close this article, you need one way or another to make your morning more structured.Have some morning ''rituals'',habits per say.Don't just roll out of bed, just to pee, then lay on the couch et cetera. In every thing, the way you do things,Matters. So try to find the right way for you.And i'm sure the dead man way is not your way.
